CRM and ERP in Germany, against the EU27

The 2018 figure was 4.31%, so the share is now 2.4 times what it was. The EU27 average went from 6.65% to 11.34% over the same years. It was under the average in 2018 as well. Ranked on the 2018 figures it would have been ninth, so it has gained 2 places.

CRM and ERP run close to level here: 9.84% for ERP in 2023 against 10.26% for CRM, with CRM ahead by 0.42 points. That is 1.89 points below the EU27's 11.73% and ninth of 10, 2 places lower than on CRM. It was 7.54% in 2021; the 2.3-point rise since then outpaces the 2.08 points the EU27 average added. In the CRM ranking Germany sits between Poland (16.99%) and Spain (10.02%).

Vendors in our rankings headquartered in Germany

Germany is the headquarters given for 78 of the 1416 listings in our software rankings: 78 vendors in 48 of the 106 categories. No vendor appears in more than one. Only the United States (762) and the United Kingdom (79) have more.

Among the 10 countries on these pages Germany is first by number of listings but seventh by CRM cloud adoption. IT & Collaboration is the largest category group with 24 listings, followed by Revenue & Growth (21), Operations (10), People (9), AI software (8), Finance (4) and Vertical (2).

• neuroflash, #2 in AI writing tools. Pricing: Essential is €42 a month and Pro is €84 a month per user, both billed annually plus VAT; Enterprise is custom. Generation is metered in daily credits.
• Contentful, #2 in CMS (content management system) software. Pricing: A free Community tier covers a small team and limited API calls and records; paid tiers scale by API request volume, environments and users, with Enterprise quoted separately.
• IntegrityNext, #2 in Third-party risk management software. Pricing: Not published; sold through a sales conversation.
• Zeotap, #2 in customer data platform software. Pricing: Not published; every deployment is quoted after a sales conversation. No free trial is advertised.
• DocuWare, #2 in document management software. Pricing: Quoted through certified partners: cloud subscriptions come in user and storage bundles with every feature included, while on-premises server licenses add module licenses as needed.
• Shopware, #2 in ecommerce platforms. Pricing: Free open-source Community Edition under the MIT license; paid Rise from €600 and Evolve from €2,400 a month, priced by GMV, with Beyond on request; self-hosted, PaaS or SaaS.
• HRlab, #2 in employee onboarding software. Pricing: Core €6/user/month; Core Premium €7/user/month; both require a 30-user minimum. Add-ons (Recruitment, Talent Management, Time & Absence) €2–€3/user/month each.
• Black Forest Labs (FLUX), #3 in AI image generators. Pricing: API is prepaid in credits worth $0.01 each: FLUX.2 [klein] 4B from $0.014 per image, FLUX.2 [pro] from $0.03, FLUX.2 [max] from $0.07, priced by megapixel; self-hosting licenses are tiered by monthly image volume with prices shown only in the dashboard or by quote.
• LanguageTool, #3 in AI writing tools. Pricing: Basic is free; Premium and Teams are paid, with monthly, quarterly, annual and two-year billing and Teams priced by number of users. The price figures did not load when we fetched the page.
• Leapsome, #3 in Performance management software. Pricing: Quote-based per-employee pricing; modules are bought singly or combined on contracts of at least a year, and the Customer Success team is reserved for contracts of 6,000 euros or more a year.

• Plan A, #3 in esg and sustainability reporting software. Pricing: Quote only; three named plans (Essential, Pro and Enterprise) with no prices published.

Barred from places 1 to 3 as dominant incumbents in a category: Awin, Centric PXM (Contentserv), DataGuard, DeepL, SAP API Management, SAP Ariba, SAP Business One, SAP Concur, SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals, Staffbase and TeamViewer. 33 of the 78 sell on quote only (42%), above the 28% across all 1416 listings.
