Buyers look past airSlate SignNow when they outgrow its flat per-account pricing, need advanced signing or payments that start on higher tiers, or want signature levels and hosting it does not describe. Most move to Docusign or Dropbox Sign for the closest per-user match, to BoldSign or SignWell for cheaper tiers, and to Youtrust or Skribble for European signatures.
Visibility in our rankings can be paid for. Payment moves a vendor's position within
the shortlist; it never adds a vendor, and it never changes a word of the review or of this page. The first three alternatives
go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the
established names follow in their ranked order. How it works:
placement disclosure · editorial process.

Questions and answers
Can I download my documents from airSlate SignNow before I leave?
Yes. The terms say that, on request within 30 days after termination, SignNow gives you access to download your content with its standard download functions. After that period it may delete the content, so download completed documents while the account is active.
Does SignNow renew automatically?
Yes. The terms say the agreement renews automatically for successive periods equal to your initial period, and month to month if no period is specified. You can cancel in account settings or through support with written confirmation, and fees are not refunded on termination unless agreed.
Can SignNow raise its prices at renewal?
Yes. The terms say SignNow may change its fees at any time, with notice in writing or on the service. A change takes effect from your next subscription period and does not affect the one you have already paid for.
Which alternatives have a free plan?
Zoho Sign allows five envelopes a month, BoldSign 25, Youtrust two signature requests, SignWell three documents and Documenso five documents. Each limit is small, so check it against your monthly volume. SignNow itself offers a 7-day free trial, not a free plan.
Which alternatives offer qualified electronic signatures?
Skribble includes qualified signatures among its signature standards, Youtrust sells them as an add-on, BoldSign lists them as an add-on on Business and Premium, and Zoho Sign lists them on Enterprise at a cost in credits. Confirm availability in your country first.
Can I self-host an alternative to SignNow?
Yes, with Documenso. Its code is published under AGPL-3.0 on GitHub, and it sells self-hosted licenses and an enterprise license for cloud or self-hosted use. The other alternatives we checked are hosted services.
Does SignNow have an API I would need to replace?
Yes. SignNow offers an API with 250 free signature invites, a free sandbox and an MCP server. Alternatives with an API include SignWell, which includes it on every plan, BoldSign, which prices it separately, Documenso and PandaDoc.
