Companies look past NetSuite when they hit export and reporting limits, when SOAP integrations have to be rebuilt, or when a quote-only suite feels heavy for their size. Most go to Odoo, Acumatica or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or to open-source ERPNext for control over hosting.

What each alternative does differently
1. Odoo
Modular ERP with an open-source core, priced per user · Belgium
Modular apps with an open-source Community edition at the core and a licensed Enterprise edition on top, which can be switched later. A free plan covers one app. The Custom plan adds Studio, multi-company, the external API and on-premise or Odoo.sh hosting, so the choice of plan decides openness.
Switch from NetSuite if you want modular apps and the option of open-source Community code underneath.
Pricing: Published per-user plans covering all apps, a free plan limited to a single app, and a Custom plan for Studio, external API access and on-premise hosting. (free plan)

2. Acumatica
Cloud ERP licensed by applications and resources, not users · United States
Cloud ERP that states unlimited users on its site and sells industry editions for construction, distribution, manufacturing, retail and professional services. It publishes a NetSuite comparison page, so it positions itself directly against NetSuite. Pricing is not shown on the pages we could fetch.
Switch from NetSuite if you want a cloud suite with unlimited users and an industry-specific edition.
Pricing: Annual subscription priced mainly by the applications licensed, plus resource levels sized to transaction volume and the deployment choice, with unlimited users; sold exclusively through partners. (none)

3. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Microsoft's small and mid-sized business ERP · United States
Microsoft's mid-market ERP, tied into Outlook, Excel and Teams, with low-code extension through Power Platform. Premium adds service management and manufacturing to Essentials. A cheaper Team Members license gives limited access to read data and approve workflows, which suits occasional users.
Switch from NetSuite if your staff live in Microsoft 365 and you want ERP inside that environment.
Pricing: Published per-user monthly prices in Essentials and Premium tiers, with cheaper Team Members licenses for light users; partners add implementation fees. (free trial)

4. ERPNext
Fully open-source ERP on the Frappe framework · India
Open-source ERP whose maker says no features sit behind a paywall. You pay for hosting, billed per site on Frappe Cloud and not per user, and for implementation, optionally through a Frappe partner. You carry more of the setup yourself than with a vendor-run suite.
Switch from NetSuite if you want open-source code, hosting per site and are ready to own implementation.
Pricing: Free to self-host under GPLv3; managed hosting on Frappe Cloud is billed per site with published monthly plans, and paid support is separate. (open source)

5. Infor CloudSuite
Industry-specific cloud ERP suites · United States
Industry-specific CloudSuites on a multi-tenant platform hosted on AWS. Its industrial manufacturing line comes as an Enterprise and an SMB edition, with MES, WMS, PLM and CPQ as modular extensions. It is organized by industry first, where NetSuite is organized by general suite.
Switch from NetSuite if you are a manufacturer or distributor and want a suite built for your industry.

6. Exact Online
Cloud accounting and ERP for Benelux SMEs · Netherlands
SaaS business software that starts from accounting and grows into ERP, with built-in collaboration with the company's accountant. Its Dutch site claims more than 675,000 companies use it. It fits companies whose finance routine is the center, and less so complex multi-site operations.
Switch from NetSuite if accounting is your core need and you work closely with an external accountant.
Pricing: Published monthly packages by business type (accounting, trade, manufacturing) in Essentials to Premium tiers, with extra users and modules added on; free trial. (free trial)

7. Syspro
Manufacturing and distribution ERP from Johannesburg · South Africa
ERP for manufacturing and distribution, with work in progress, bills of material, MRP, lot traceability and warehouse management listed as core areas. Its site announces that the upfront and annual license fee model is ending in favor of a named-user subscription. A general-purpose services firm gains little here.
Switch from NetSuite if you make or distribute goods and want traceability and MRP as the core.
Pricing: Quote only, named-user subscription sold directly and through partners, deployed on-premise or in Syspro Cloud on Azure; the upfront and annual license fee model ends in late 2026. (none)

8. Global Shop Solutions
One-database ERP for job shops and fabricators · United States
ERP for discrete manufacturers, with shop floor data collection, routing, quality control, a CAD interface and nesting interface in its module list. It offers both cloud and on-premise editions. A company that buys and sells without producing will find most of the catalog beside the point.
Switch from NetSuite if you run a job shop or discrete production floor and may still want on-premise.
Pricing: Quote only, on a concurrent-user model with an upfront fee plus a quarterly charge that covers updates and support; deployed in the cloud or on premises. (none)

Configurable mid-market cloud ERP · Israel
ERP family with a mobile app generator, portal generator, field service, proof-of-delivery and warehouse apps as separate products on its site. It also sells hospitality and school systems. It suits firms that expect to build their own mobile workflows around the core.
Switch from NetSuite if you want to build mobile and portal workflows around a core ERP.
Pricing: Quote only, sold as Commercial or Manufacturing plans, with modules such as warehouse management, project management, the API and the mobile app generator priced as add-ons. (none)

10. MRPeasy

Manufacturing-first ERP whose tiers are split by function: all include production planning, bills of material, lot traceability, CRM, warehouse management and standard accounting, while quality control, subcontracting and serial numbers start at Professional. Integrations list Shopify, QuickBooks and Xero. It is not a multi-subsidiary suite.
Switch from NetSuite if you are a small manufacturer and want production planning without enterprise scope.
Pricing: Published per-user monthly tiers from $49 Starter to Unlimited; even Starter includes CRM, purchasing and standard accounting, while higher tiers add a product configurator, multiple production sites and the API; free trial, no contracts. (free trial)

Questions and answers
Can I export all my data from NetSuite?
Yes, but in pieces. Reports, searches and lists export to Word, PDF, Excel, CSV and Tableau, subject to row and size limits, and bigger extractions go through SuiteAnalytics Connect or the REST and SuiteQL interfaces.
Does a CSV export from NetSuite keep decimals and special characters?
No. CSV exports are limited to two decimal places and do not support Unicode. Oracle's workaround is to export to Excel first and save the file as CSV.
Can I connect directly to the NetSuite database?
Only read-only, and only if SuiteAnalytics Connect is enabled for your account. It provides ODBC, JDBC and ADO.NET drivers and cannot update NetSuite data, and the export documentation refers to purchasing the ability.
Will my SOAP integrations keep working while I migrate?
Yes, for now. Existing SOAP integrations continue to function, new ones cannot be built from release 2027.1, and all SOAP endpoints are disabled with release 2028.2.
Is there a test copy of production for a migration rehearsal?
Yes, a sandbox. Each has the same setup, data and customizations as the production account, and the documentation says it can be refreshed on request. You acquire sandboxes through your account representative.
How large can a single report or search export be?
Most reports are limited to 25,000 rows, and a named group of financial reports to 75,000. Search results are limited to 10 MB, which Oracle equates to about 20,000 CSV rows and 50 columns.
