CargoWise is the WiseTech Global forwarding platform, and buyers look past it when they want a price they can read, a shorter route to a first shipment, or a system sized for a few users. Most weigh Descartes, Magaya or Riege Scope first, then Shipthis for small teams. Rate and inbox tools sit beside a core system.
Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. The first three alternatives
go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the
established names follow in their ranked order. How it works:
placement disclosure · editorial process.

Questions and answers
Can I export my data from CargoWise?
The pages we read do not state an export format, so ask WiseTech for a written sample export. Request completed jobs with charges, customer history and your rate library, and ask who owns each if the contract ends.
Do I pay per user in CargoWise?
Not for many customers on Value Packs. The page says user seat fees and standard cloud hosting fees are not charged for many of them, and cost follows a per-transaction Automation Fee. Check whether your account qualifies before comparing seat-based quotes.
How do I switch an existing CargoWise account to a Value Pack?
Raise an eRequest through the myaccount portal and the team follows up. The Value Pack page does not describe contract terms, notice periods or renewal, so ask for those in writing.
Can the Automation Fee be passed on to customers?
Yes, it can be treated as a disbursement. By default the Forwarding and Customs Broker packs do this, and the other two packs do not. At your discretion you may book it as an overhead instead.
Which CargoWise modules would I need to replace?
Forwarding, customs, warehouse, landside, transport and carrier connectivity are listed on the homepage. Map which of these your team uses, since an alternative may cover only part. Rate and inbox tools replace none of them.
Does CargoWise publish security certifications?
The pages we read show none. Ask WiseTech for its current certificates and hosting terms, and compare them with Magaya's SSAE 16 Type II statement, Freightos's SOC 2 Type II note and Riege's ISO certificate.
