Companies look past Odoo when the per-user fee, the split between the Standard and Custom plans or the need for a partner to implement it stops fitting. Most go to ERPNext for open source, to Business Central or Exact Online for a Microsoft or accounting-led route, and to Acumatica or MRPeasy when seats or manufacturing drive the choice.
Visibility in our rankings can be paid for. Payment moves a vendor's position within
the shortlist; it never adds a vendor, and it never changes a word of the review or of this page. How it works:

What each alternative does differently
1. ERPNext
Fully open-source ERP on the Frappe framework · India
Free and open source: the project describes itself as a free ERP, and you pay for hosting and implementation rather than per user. Frappe Cloud hosting starts at $5 a month per site, billed by site and server. Implementation by you or a Frappe partner is a separate cost.
Switch from Odoo if you want open source with hosting priced per site instead of per user.
Pricing: Free to self-host under GPLv3; managed hosting on Frappe Cloud is billed per site with published monthly plans, and paid support is separate. (open source)

Switch from Odoo if you are a Dutch or Belgian company where accounting is the center of the ERP.

4. Acumatica
Cloud ERP licensed by applications and resources, not users · United States
Unlimited users on a single price built from the applications you license, your usage and resource needs, and your deployment choice. The pricing page offers calculators for construction, manufacturing and distribution. You pay for functionality, not seats, which helps when many staff each need a login.
Switch from Odoo if many people need access and per-user fees are your main objection to Odoo.
Pricing: Annual subscription priced mainly by the applications licensed, plus resource levels sized to transaction volume and the deployment choice, with unlimited users; sold exclusively through partners. (none)

Configurable mid-market cloud ERP · Israel
A cloud ERP that the vendor presents as an AI suite, aiERP, where users can query the ERP in natural language. The company also sells hospitality and retail management software. There is no public price list on its home page, so the cost comes from a demo and a quote.
Switch from Odoo if you want an ERP vendor that puts AI at the center and is open to a demo-led quote.

10. NetSuite
Oracle's cloud ERP for scaling and multi-entity companies · United States
Priced by quote rather than a public list, so a comparison needs a proposal that states your users and modules. The vendor's site refused our automated checks, so this page describes no features or limits for it. Treat it as a candidate for companies that expect to outgrow mid-market tools.
Switch from Odoo if you expect to grow beyond a mid-market suite and can budget for a quoted contract.
Pricing: Annual contract combining a base platform fee, per-user licenses and add-on modules, quoted by Oracle sales; no published price list. (none)

11. SAP Business One
SAP's partner-sold ERP for small and mid-sized firms · Germany
Another quote-led option, sold through partners according to the category file, so the first step is to ask a partner for a priced proposal. Its vendor site also blocked our automated fetches, so we state no module scope or limits here. Add it to the shortlist only if you want a large-vendor ERP.
Switch from Odoo if a large-vendor ERP with a partner network matters more to you than a published price.
Pricing: Named-user licenses, bought outright or on subscription through an SAP partner, running on Microsoft SQL Server or SAP HANA. (none)
