Jasper alternatives: 12 compared

Marketing teams look past Jasper when its terms let it develop its own models on their drafts, when governance features sit behind a quoted Business plan, or when per-seat pricing grows with the team. Most go to Writer, neuroflash or Anyword for team writing, or to Grammarly and DeepL for editing.

Short answer: The closest replacements for Jasper in our AI writing tools ranking are Writer, neuroflash and Anyword. Choose Writer if your legal team wants a no-training default and you need agent workflows at scale. All 12 alternatives below are ranked products from Best AI Writing Tools in 2026, and each says where it differs from Jasper and when Jasper is still the better choice.

Visibility in our rankings can be paid for. Payment moves a vendor's position within the shortlist; it never adds a vendor, and it never changes a word of the review or of this page. How it works: placement disclosure · editorial process.

Why buyers look past Jasper

  1. The terms cover model development

Jasper's terms of service say it uses Customer Property, including Input and Output, to provide and improve the Services, including developing and enhancing its own AI models. The right to object is written for users in the EU or UK.

  2. Governance sits on the quoted tier

Pro includes one seat, two Brand Voices, five Knowledge assets and three Audiences. Unlimited IQ customization, API access, Jasper Grid, the no-code agent builder and admin Groups are listed under Business, which is custom priced.

  3. Seats and commitments add up

Pro is $69 per seat a month, or $59 on yearly billing. The yearly price carries a 12-month commitment, and Business also begins with a 12-month commitment. Monthly billing allows cancelling at any time, with a pause of up to 30 days.

When Jasper is still the right choice

Stay on Jasper if the team works as a marketing department and uses Canvas, Brand Voices and agents daily, and if your counsel accepts the terms on model development. Pro is published per seat with a 7-day trial. Moving means rebuilding voices and knowledge assets elsewhere.

What to expect when you switch from Jasper

  1. Rebuild voices and knowledge by hand

Brand Voices, Knowledge assets and Audiences live inside Jasper IQ. We found no export route for them in the terms or on the pricing page, so ask Jasper before cancelling. Keep the source documents and style guides you uploaded, and feed them to the new tool.

  2. Your drafts stay yours

The terms define Input and Output as Customer Property, and exclude Output from Jasper Property. Save finished drafts to your own storage before leaving. Jasper may change or stop features without prior notice, so do not rely on the workspace as an archive.

  3. Time the exit to the billing term

Yearly Pro and Business plans carry a 12-month commitment, while monthly billing can be cancelled at any time. If you hold a yearly plan, run the new tool in parallel for a trial period and switch when the term ends.

Questions and answers

Does Jasper use my content to train its models?

Its terms say Jasper uses Customer Property, including Input and Output, to improve the Services and to develop and enhance its AI models. The terms add that EU and UK users may object to certain uses. Ask Jasper in writing before you rely on a narrower reading.

Does Jasper have a free plan?

No, the pricing page offers a 7-day free trial of Pro, not a permanent free plan. The two plans listed are Pro and Business. Business is custom priced, so teams that need its features should expect a sales conversation.

Can I cancel Jasper at any time?

Only on monthly billing. Jasper says monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and paused for 30 days, while the yearly plan carries a 12-month commitment. Business plans also begin with a 12-month commitment.

How much does Jasper cost per seat?

Pro is $69 per seat a month, or $59 a month on yearly billing, and includes one seat. Business is custom priced. Compare that with block-seat plans such as Copy.ai Chat, which lists five seats for $29 a month.

Which alternative states it does not train on customer data?

Writer says on its plans page that by default it does not train or improve its models on customer data. We did not find an equivalent statement on the other alternatives' pricing pages, so check each vendor's terms before signing.

Can I move my Brand Voices to another tool?

Not as a file that we could find. Brand Voices are part of Jasper IQ, and no export is described in the terms or the pricing page. neuroflash lists a Brand Voice Creator and Anyword lists brand voices, but you will recreate them from your source material.
