Companies look past NetSuite when its ERP scope is more than their finance team uses, when report and export limits get in the way, or when SOAP integrations have to be rebuilt. Most step down to Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Odoo, or to a plain cloud ledger such as Xero or QuickBooks Online.
Visibility in our rankings can be paid for. Payment moves a vendor's position within
the shortlist; it never adds a vendor, and it never changes a word of the review or of this page. The first three alternatives
go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the
established names follow in their ranked order. How it works:
placement disclosure · editorial process.
What each alternative does differently

Questions and answers
Can I export all my data from NetSuite?
Yes, but in pieces. Reports, searches and lists export to Word, PDF, Excel, CSV and Tableau, subject to row and size limits, and larger extractions go through SuiteAnalytics Connect.
Does a CSV export from NetSuite keep decimals and special characters?
No. CSV exports are limited to two decimal places and do not support Unicode. Oracle's workaround is to export to Excel first, which keeps full precision and supports Unicode, then save the file as CSV.
How large can a report or search export be?
Most reports are limited to 25,000 rows, and a named group of financial reports to 75,000. Search results are limited to 10 MB, which Oracle equates to about 20,000 CSV rows of 50 columns.
Can I connect directly to the NetSuite data after I leave?
Only while your account is active, and only read-only through SuiteAnalytics Connect if it is enabled. It offers ODBC, JDBC and ADO.NET drivers and cannot update NetSuite data. So take your final extract before the contract ends.
Will my SOAP integrations keep working while I migrate?
Yes, for now. Existing SOAP integrations continue to function, new ones cannot be built from release 2027.1, and all SOAP endpoints are disabled with release 2028.2.
Is there a test copy of production for a migration rehearsal?
Yes, a sandbox. Each has the same setup, data and customizations as the production account and can be refreshed from production on request. You acquire sandboxes through your account representative.
