Envoy alternatives: 11 compared

Envoy is a visitor sign-in product made by Envoy, Inc. of San Francisco, and buyers look past it when the per-location price, the split between plans or the US data handling does not suit a single office. Most compare Vizito and LobbyTrack first, then Sign In App or Teamgo for per-site pricing.

Short answer: The closest replacements for Envoy in our visitor management software ranking are Vizito, LobbyTrack and Sign In App. Choose Vizito if you want visit-based tiers with published euro prices and a Belgian vendor. All 11 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Visitor Management Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from Envoy and when Envoy is still the better choice.

Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. The first three alternatives go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the established names follow in their ranked order. Envoy at a glance

  • Headquarters: United States

  • Pricing: Basic free for up to 100 entries a month and 50 employees; Premium $362 per location per month billed annually; Enterprise quoted; desks, rooms and deliveries sold separately
  • Free option: Free plan
  • Built for: Larger offices that also want desk booking and mailroom in one platform
  • Wrong for: A single small office that only needs visitor sign-in gets little from Envoy's workplace modules; Vizito or Sign In App will do the core job for less.

Facts from our visitor management software ranking, last checked November 3, 2026.

Why buyers look past Envoy

  1. Premium is priced per location

Envoy lists its Premium visitor plan at $362 per location per month, billed annually. The free Basic plan stops at 100 entries a month and 50 employees in the directory. A single office that outgrows Basic therefore moves straight to the Premium price.

  2. Screening and access control need Enterprise

Envoy lists ID scanning, blocklist scanning and access control integrations only on the Enterprise visitor plan, which has no published price. ID scanning includes 500 scans a year. Buyers who need screening must request a quote before they can compare.

  3. Other products are billed separately

Envoy sells desk booking as Reservations at $5 per bookable resource per month, and prices Response, Screens and Deliveries separately. None of these is included in a Visitors tier. Envoy also states that ACH invoicing is available only on Enterprise or from three Premium yearly locations.

When Envoy is still the right choice

Stay with Envoy if you already run it across several offices and want visitors, desk booking and deliveries under one vendor. It also fits you if the free Basic plan covers your volume of up to 100 entries a month, or if you will take the Enterprise quote for ID scanning, blocklists and access control.

What to expect when you switch from Envoy

  1. Check what you can take out

We could not verify which export formats Envoy offers for visitor logs, so ask Envoy before you cancel. Request your visitor history, host list and signed document records in a file you can open. Keep those records for as long as your own retention policy requires.

  2. Ask about photos and retention

The Envoy privacy policy sets no retention period for visitor photos and does not state where visitor data is stored. It names Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers into the US. Ask Envoy in writing to delete photos at exit, and ask the new vendor for its retention terms.

  3. Plan the overlap and the add-ons

Envoy sells desk booking, screens and deliveries as separate products. If you use any of them, list them before you switch. A visitor-only tool will not replace them, so you may run Envoy for those products while visitors move to another tool.

Questions and answers

How much does Envoy cost compared with other visitor management software?

Envoy Premium costs $362 per location per month billed annually, and Basic is free up to 100 entries a month. LobbyTrack lists $50 and $100 per location per month, and Vizito lists EUR 29.95 to EUR 99.95. Envoy Enterprise has no published price.

Is there a free alternative to Envoy?

LobbyTrack has a free Starter plan for up to 100 visitors a month with badge printing, photo capture and QR sign-in. Envoy's own free Basic plan allows 100 entries a month but has no ID scanning, blocklist or access control. Vizito and Teamgo offer trials, not free plans.

Can I get ID scanning without an Enterprise plan?

Yes, LobbyTrack adds driver licence and ID document scanning on its $100 Professional plan, and Greetly includes ID verification on its $159 Pro plan. Envoy lists ID scanning, with 500 scans a year, only on its quoted Enterprise visitor plan.

Where does Envoy store visitor data?

The Envoy privacy policy does not state a storage region. It says data is transferred into the US with Standard Contractual Clauses as a safeguard. Envoy, Inc. is located in San Francisco. Ask Envoy for the hosting location in writing if you need it for a data protection assessment.

Which Envoy alternative suits a school?

InVentry is built around schools, with pupil sign-in and sign-out records, late marks and a RollCall app for who is on site. It publishes no prices. Sign In App and Vizito are general visitor tools, so check whether they cover pupil registers.

Does moving from Envoy mean losing desk booking?

Yes, if you use it, because Envoy sells desk booking as a separate product called Reservations at $5 per bookable resource per month. Visitor-only alternatives do not replace it. LobbyTrack's Ultimate plan lists room and desk booking, priced on request.
