Employers look past Checkr when per-report prices of $29.99 to $94.99 add up, when pass-through court fees arrive on top, or when they screen outside the United States. Most compare RefNow, iprospectcheck and PESCHECK first, then Certn or Veremark for published per-check or per-candidate pricing.
Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. The first three alternatives
go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the
established names follow in their ranked order. How it works:
placement disclosure · editorial process.

Questions and answers
How much does Checkr cost per report?
Checkr Workforce checks cost $29.99 for Basic, $59.99 for Essential and $94.99 for Complete, with Enterprise on request. Those prices exclude pass-through fees, and third-party court and database access fees may apply at cost.
Does Checkr have a free plan?
The only free option on Checkr's pricing page is the Personal Profiles plan. Employer screening has no free plan, and the page mentions no free trial.
Can I export my data when I leave Checkr?
Checkr's terms of service do not mention export or deletion on termination. They refer to a separate Privacy Policy, so request the export format and retention period from Checkr in writing.
Which Checkr alternatives publish prices?
PESCHECK, Certn, Veremark and iprospectcheck publish prices on their pricing pages, in euros, Canadian dollars, US dollars and US dollars respectively. RefNow, HiPeople, Accurate Background and First Advantage show none.
Is there a Checkr alternative for hiring in Europe?
PESCHECK bills in euros per screening and is registered in Enschede, the Netherlands. HiPeople offers US or EU hosting from a Berlin entity. Neither site is the whole answer, so confirm which checks they run in your country.
Is Checkr the same as GoodHire?
We left GoodHire out of this list because the category file treats it as a Checkr brand. Checkr's own about page does not mention GoodHire, so we could not confirm that on Checkr's site.
