Similarweb alternatives: 11 compared

Teams look past Similarweb when they want keyword and ranking data for their own site more than market-wide traffic estimates, or when a quote-based contract is more than the job needs. Most go to SpyFu or SE Ranking for competitor research, Ahrefs or Semrush for a full suite, and Google Search Console for first-party data.

Short answer: The closest replacements for Similarweb in our SEO software ranking are SpyFu, SE Ranking and Mangools. Choose SpyFu if you mostly need competitor keywords and ads and want a plain, self-service tool. The other 10 entries come from our Best SEO Software in 2026 list as well, and every one is set against Similarweb specifically, with a note on the cases where Similarweb should stay.

Visibility in our rankings can be paid for. Payment moves a vendor's position within the shortlist; it never adds a vendor, and it never changes a word of the review or of this page. The first three alternatives go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the established names follow in their ranked order. How it works: placement disclosure · editorial process.

Why buyers look past Similarweb

  1. Business plans are quote-based

Similarweb's pricing page sends businesses and enterprises to its sales team for a custom package, and self-service packages exist for individuals and small teams. A team that wants to compare costs before a call has no published business price to read.

  2. The scope reaches well beyond SEO

The platform spans web, AI search, app, retail, sales and stock intelligence. An SEO team that mostly needs keywords, rankings and backlinks pays for a product built around market and audience data, and some features need the custom package.

  3. Estimates are modelled, not measured

Similarweb states that it extrapolates traffic from a blend of first-party analytics, a contributor network, public data and partner data. A team that wants numbers from its own analytics or search console will find them in a different class of tool.

1. SpyFu

United States

2. SE Ranking

United Kingdom

SE Ranking bundles rank tracking, a site audit, keyword and backlink research and competitor analysis. The Core plan allows 10 projects, one manager seat and 2k tracked keywords, with a 14-day trial without a card. It also sells a Website Traffic API. Enterprise terms are quoted.

Switch from Similarweb if you want a self-service SEO suite with stated project and keyword limits.

3. Mangools

Slovakia

Mangools is five narrow tools: KWFinder, SERPChecker, SERPWatcher, LinkMiner and SiteProfiler. SiteProfiler shows Moz and Majestic metrics for any domain, and rank tracking updates weekly. The pricing page lets you cancel in the account at any time. It is not a market-share or audience tool.

Switch from Similarweb if you want simple keyword and domain checks and no sales call.

Official site → · Our Mangools review

4. Ahrefs

Singapore

Ahrefs runs its own crawler and web index, and its traffic checker estimates the traffic of any site. Site Explorer, Keywords Explorer and Rank Tracker sit beside Web Analytics for your own site. Brand Radar for AI answers is a separate paid add-on. There is a free tier for verified sites.

Switch from Similarweb if you want to estimate rivals' search traffic with backlink data in the same account.

5. Semrush

United States

Semrush splits its offer into toolkits. Traffic Analytics, regional trends and audience profile live in a separate Traffic & Market toolkit, while the SEO plan covers 5 websites and 500 daily keywords. A free account gives one demo project and 10 reports per day across its tools.

Switch from Similarweb if you want SEO, content and traffic research from one vendor and can buy toolkits separately.

6. Moz Pro

United States

Moz Pro sells SEO tiers with stated limits: Standard allows 1 user, 3 tracked sites and 300 keywords, Medium allows 2 users, 10 sites and 1,500 keywords. Both add an AI visibility dashboard. Its free Domain Analysis tool shows Domain Authority and top pages. It is built for tracking, not for panel-based traffic data.

Switch from Similarweb if you track a few sites and want Domain Authority and AI visibility at a stated price.

7. AccuRanker

Denmark

AccuRanker does one job, daily keyword rank tracking, in tiers from 2,000 keywords. Expert adds a read API and Data Studio, and Enterprise adds BigQuery and raw SERP HTML. The company is based in Aarhus, Denmark. There is no competitor traffic estimate, and prices change by keyword count.

Switch from Similarweb if your use is tracking rankings accurately at scale and the rest of the suite is shelfware.

8. Google Search Console

United States

Google Search Console is a free service that reports on how your own site appears in Google Search. It needs ownership verification, so you cannot look up a competitor. It gives first-party search data rather than modelled estimates, with no audience profile and no market comparison.

Switch from Similarweb if you only need reliable search data for domains you own.

9. Wincher

Sweden

Wincher tracks rankings daily and adds a keyword explorer, local rank tracking and competitor tracking of 5 rivals per site on the entry plan. That plan covers 500 keywords, 10 websites and 1 user. Exports are Excel and CSV. It has no traffic panel and no app data.

Switch from Similarweb if you need cheap daily rank tracking across several small sites, not market data.

10. Screaming Frog SEO Spider

United Kingdom

Screaming Frog SEO Spider is a desktop crawler for Windows, Mac and Linux that checks for over 300 SEO issues. It is free up to 500 URLs and the licence is quoted at £199 per year. It works on a site you crawl, so it gives no competitor traffic data.

Switch from Similarweb if your real need is technical audits of sites you can crawl yourself.

11. Positive Surfer (formerly Surfer)

Poland

Surfer, now part of Positive Surfer, tracks AI answer visibility and optimizes content. Plans start at 82 EUR a month billed yearly for tracking 50 prompts, and Standard adds document optimization for 99 EUR. It reports how you appear in AI answers, not how much traffic rival sites get.

Switch from Similarweb if your goal is content optimization and brand visibility in AI answers.

When Similarweb is still the right choice

Stay with Similarweb if you need comparable traffic, audience and market-share estimates across many sites, apps or countries, or if the retail, sales and app products on the same contract are in use. The pricing page lists up to 37 months of history and 100+ country coverage, which keyword tools do not match. An SEO suite will not replace that.

What to expect when you switch from Similarweb

  1. Check the contract before you cancel

Business terms are set in your contract, so ask your representative for the notice terms. The pricing page says Entrepreneurs plans cancel in the platform and run to the end of the paid period. The terms state that fees paid are non-refundable.

  2. Expect different numbers, not the same ones

Every vendor builds traffic figures from its own data. The pricing page also points to an article on why Similarweb differs from Google Analytics. Run the new tool alongside the old one for a cycle and re-set your benchmarks on the new figures.

  3. Rebuild API and feed integrations

Similarweb's pricing page says API access is part of a customized package. Dashboards or data feeds that call it need new sources, and SpyFu, Ahrefs and SE Ranking each offer an API of their own. Check which endpoints you used before you cancel.

Questions and answers

Does Similarweb publish its prices?

Not for business use: the pricing page tells businesses and enterprises to talk to sales for a custom package. It also mentions self-service packages for individuals, entrepreneurs and small teams, but we could not read their prices from the server-rendered page.

How do I cancel Similarweb?

Entrepreneurs plans can be cancelled from the subscription page in the platform, and access continues until the paid period ends. For Similarweb for Business, the termination terms are in your contract, so contact your account representative or support@similarweb.com.

Can I get a refund after I cancel Similarweb?

Generally not: the terms say payment obligations are non-cancelable and fees paid are non-refundable. Read your own order form for exceptions. Switching to annual billing is handled through a support ticket, so settle the billing period before you decide a leaving date.

Will another tool show the same traffic numbers as Similarweb?

No, each vendor models traffic from its own sources. Similarweb blends first-party analytics, a contributor network, public data and partner data. Ahrefs and SpyFu use their own indexes, and Google Search Console reports only your own site. Expect gaps and compare trends, not single figures.

Which law applies to my Similarweb contract?

The terms say the laws of the State of Israel apply, with the courts in Tel Aviv-Yaffo having exclusive jurisdiction. A business contract may differ, so check your order form. Several alternatives are based elsewhere, which can change the governing law when you move.

What do I lose by leaving Similarweb for an SEO suite?

App, retail and audience-profile data are the main losses, since the SEO tools listed here center on keywords, rankings and backlinks. Similarweb lists app intelligence, retail intelligence and sales intelligence as separate products, so check which ones your team used.
