Teams look past Moz Pro when seat and campaign limits get in the way, when AI visibility tracking costs extra beyond the plan, or when they want a larger backlink or crawl dataset. Most go to Ahrefs or Semrush for a full suite, to SE Ranking or Mangools for lower cost, and to Screaming Frog or Search Console for single jobs.
Visibility in our rankings can be paid for. Payment moves a vendor's position within
the shortlist; it never adds a vendor, and it never changes a word of the review or of this page. How it works:

What each alternative does differently

Questions and answers
Can I export my tracked keyword rankings from Moz Pro?
Yes, as a CSV from the Rankings section of a campaign. Moz's help page describes columns for each competitor and says exports follow your chosen date range. Download them for every campaign before you cancel.
How often does Moz Pro update rankings?
Weekly, going by Moz's help hub, which refers to the weekly campaign update and says newly added keywords stay Not Collected until it runs. If you need a faster refresh, check each alternative's tracking frequency.
Will my Domain Authority scores carry over to another tool?
No. Domain Authority is Moz's own metric, and Moz lists it among the competitive metrics in its free Domain Analysis tool. Record the values you report on before leaving, and expect another vendor to show its own score.
Who owns Moz?
Moz is part of the Moz Group, formed in 2021 when iContact, a subsidiary of Ziff Davis, acquired it. The footer of moz.com reads SEOMoz, Inc., a Ziff Davis company. Check that against your procurement rules.
Does the Moz Pro subscription renew automatically, and how do I cancel?
Moz's help hub lists a Cancel Moz Pro article under account management, so cancellation is self-service in the account area. We did not read the renewal terms, so check your billing page before the next cycle.
Do I need to replace Moz Pro with one tool?
Not necessarily. Moz Pro bundles ranking, crawl, link and keyword research, and some alternatives cover one of those jobs. Screaming Frog covers crawling, Search Console covers your own search data, and a rank tracker covers positions.
