Gong alternatives: 11 compared

Teams look past Gong when a quote arrives with a platform fee on top of per-user licenses, when a small team cannot justify a multi-module estate, or when a one-year auto-renewing contract feels heavy. Most move to Avoma or Jiminny for call capture, or to Backstory and Aviso for pipeline answers.

Short answer: The closest replacements for Gong in our revenue intelligence software ranking are Avoma, Jiminny and Grain. Choose Avoma if you want published per-seat prices and a free trial with all modules on. All 11 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Revenue Intelligence Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from Gong and when Gong is still the better choice.

Visibility in our rankings can be paid for. Payment moves a vendor's position within the shortlist; it never adds a vendor, and it never changes a word of the review or of this page. The first three alternatives go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the established names follow in their ranked order. Why buyers look past Gong

  1. Per-user licenses plus a platform fee

Gong's pricing page lists three things: licenses priced per user, a platform fee based on the number of users supported, and free integrations with your existing stack. No figure is published, and the quote form opens by asking how big the team is. Small teams carry the fixed part of the bill.

  2. A contract that renews itself

Under Gong's terms, subscriptions renew for one-year periods unless either side gives written notice 60 days before the term ends. Fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable, and a renewal with fewer users or a shorter term is re-priced without regard to the earlier per-unit price.

  3. Several surfaces, one bill

Gong sells Engage, Forecast, Enable, Agents and a Revenue Graph as separate parts of one platform. Buyers who only want call recording and coaching can end up pricing a stack they will not fully use, and the final figure depends on which parts get switched on.

3. Grain

AI meeting notetaker with sales workflows · United States

Starts with a free plan for individuals, with Pro and Business paid tiers above it, so a rep can test it before anyone signs. The site says contracts need not run annually and that meeting data never trains AI. Shared workspaces begin on Business. The pricing page lists no outbound sequencing.

Switch from Gong if your team is small and you want to start on a free plan.

Pricing: The site advertises free-forever use; paid plan prices could not be read from the fetched pricing page. (free plan)

4. Attention

Botless call capture with plain-language sales agents · United States

Captures meetings without a recording bot, in 100+ languages, then runs agents that you describe in plain language and that push alerts and scorecards out to 200+ integrations. An MCP server exposes 70+ read and write tools. No price list is published, and the pricing URL returned a not-found page.

Switch from Gong if buyers dislike a bot joining calls and you want agents built from plain-language prompts.

Pricing: No price list found; the site offers a Get Started form, and we could not confirm a trial or free tier. (none)

5. Backstory (formerly People.ai)

Activity capture and deal answers for revenue teams · United States

Bills on connected people and consumed answers instead of logins, so managers, finance and deal desk view without a seat. Consumption is pre-packaged for the term, and overage is adjusted at renewal, not back-billed. It focuses on emails, calls and meetings feeding deal answers, not outreach or coaching content.

Switch from Gong if many non-sellers need read access and per-seat licensing is the obstacle.

Pricing: Request-a-quote: you pay for people whose emails, calls and meetings are ingested and for the answers consumed; viewers and feature tiers cost nothing extra, and nothing is back-billed mid-term. (none)

6. Revenue.io

Built around Salesforce, with three packages: Activate for dialing with live coaching, Engage for call, email and SMS sequences, Orchestrate for deal health and forecasting. Local numbers cover 40+ countries. The vendor says it targets Salesforce teams of 15 or more seats and quotes on a demo call.

Starts from CRM data capture rather than recorded calls: Context Foundation syncs interactions to the CRM, Motion adds an inbox panel and scheduling, Kora AI adds meeting intelligence. Four packages, all quoted on request. It suits teams whose problem is missing CRM records more than call coaching.

Switch from Gong if incomplete CRM records, not call review, is the main problem.

8. Aviso

AI forecasting and pipeline platform with agents · United States

Leads with forecasting: customizable hierarchies, live opportunity scoring and deal risk, with conversation intelligence listed as one module among many. The site offers 50+ AI agents and publishes its own Aviso versus Gong page. A custom proposal comes from a form, and the vendor claims 450+ revenue teams.

Switch from Gong if forecast roll-ups, more than call analysis, drive the purchase.

Pricing: Custom proposal from a form; the vendor offers to buy out an existing vendor contract, free migration and white-glove onboarding. (none)

9. Outreach

Sales engagement extended into forecasting and deal management · United States

Started as sales engagement, so sequences, meeting scheduling and tasks come first, with conversation intelligence and forecasting added. Pricing mixes per-seat access with AI credits, from 10,000 on Amplify Essentials to 50,000 on Plus. Amounts are on request, and credit use can make spend vary with adoption.

Switch from Gong if outbound sequencing is your main motion and you want it in one system.

Combines Cadence for outreach, Conversation Intelligence, Deals and Rhythm with Clari Forecast, which has its own login on the site. No price list exists, only a talk-to-sales form. The company says 4,000+ customers. Expect an estate of several products rather than a single call-review tool.

Switch from Gong if you want forecasting and engagement from a single sales-tech vendor.

Pricing: No public price list; the pricing path leads to a demo request, and quotes cover the product mix you choose. (none)

11. Chorus by ZoomInfo

Conversation intelligence tied to ZoomInfo data · United States

Chorus is sold by ZoomInfo and appears among its engagement products beside contact search and buyer intent. Access starts with a demo request and no list price. It fits buyers already using ZoomInfo data who prefer one invoice and one vendor over a separate call-intelligence contract.

Switch from Gong if you already buy ZoomInfo and want call analysis on the same contract.

Pricing: Demo request; no price on the product page, which lists Chorus beside other ZoomInfo products on the pricing page without figures. (none)

When Gong is still the right choice

Gong is the right choice for a large sales organization that wants call capture, forecasting, outreach and coaching in one system with one data model, and that can absorb a platform fee. It also fits buyers that need its listed ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 42001 attestations, bring-your-own-key encryption and a documented API.

What to expect when you switch from Gong

  1. Pull your call data first

The Gong API returns call data, participants, topics, trackers, scorecards and transcripts, with limits of 3 calls per second and 10,000 per day. Terms add that data stays available for export for 30 days after termination, so schedule the extraction before the term ends.

  2. Match the notice date

Written notice, email allowed, is due 60 days before the term ends, otherwise a one-year renewal follows. Plan the pilot of the new tool inside the last quarter of the term, and run both tools on the same calls so scorecards and trackers can be compared.

Questions and answers

Can I export my calls and transcripts from Gong?

Yes, through the Gong API, which returns analyzed call data including participants, topics, trackers, scorecards and transcripts. Gong's help pages note that available features depend on your plan and assigned seats. The API is rate limited to 3 calls per second and 10,000 per day, so a large archive takes days.

How much notice does Gong need to cancel?

Gong's terms say 60 days before the end of the subscription term, in writing, email accepted. Without that notice the subscription renews for one year unless the order form says something different. Check your order form first, because it overrides the standard terms.

What happens to my data after I cancel Gong?

For 30 days after termination or expiry, Gong makes customer data, including recorded calls, available to export or download as described in its documentation. After that period it has no obligation to keep the data and deletes it as the documentation provides.

Will my renewal price change if I drop seats?

Under the terms, a renewal in which volume or length has decreased is re-priced without regard to the earlier per-unit pricing. Promotional or one-time priced subscriptions renew at list price in effect at that time. Ask for renewal pricing in writing before you cut seats.

Does Gong publish its prices?

No. The pricing page says licenses are priced per user, with a platform fee based on the number of users supported, and routes you to a form that asks for team size. Several alternatives, such as Avoma, publish per-seat prices instead.

Where would a legal dispute with Gong be heard?

The terms are governed by California law, and the exclusive venue is the federal and state courts in San Francisco. Non-US buyers who need a different governing law should raise it with Gong before signing the order form.
