Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales alternatives: 12 compared

Teams look past Dynamics 365 Sales when the edition ladder, the Copilot credit model or the Dataverse platform underneath is more than a sales team wants to run. Most go to HubSpot or Salesforce for a broader suite, to Zoho CRM or Freshsales for lower per-user prices, or to Close and Attio for lighter tools.

Short answer: The closest replacements for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales in our CRM software ranking are HubSpot, Salesforce Sales Cloud and Zoho CRM. Choose HubSpot if you want one suite for marketing, sales and service with a free entry point. All 12 alternatives below are ranked products from Best CRM Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and when Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales is still the better choice.

Why buyers look past Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales

  1. Price rises with every edition

Microsoft lists Sales Professional at $65, Enterprise at $105 and Premium at $150 per user per month, paid yearly. Premium carries 1,000 Copilot credits per user a month, and extra credits are bought pay-as-you-go or in prepaid units, so the AI bill is a second line.

  2. Professional is a subset

Microsoft's documentation says the entities in Sales Professional are a subset of those in Sales Enterprise. A team that starts on the cheaper edition and needs custom tables or more of the data model has to move up, not just add a seat.

  3. It is a platform, not a single product

Microsoft documents that Dynamics 365 Sales runs on Dataverse and Power Apps model-driven app design. That suits organizations with Power Platform skills, but a small sales team may not want to administer a platform to track deals.

When Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales is still the right choice

Stay if Microsoft 365 is your daily workspace. Microsoft documents Outlook and Teams integration, Power BI on Dataverse data and, through Microsoft Relationship Sales, LinkedIn Sales Navigator. A company that already runs Power Platform apps gets those extensions without a second vendor, and the cost reads differently when Copilot is already licensed.

What to expect when you switch from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales

  1. Map the data model first

Dynamics stores records in Dataverse tables, so list the custom tables, fields and relationships before choosing a tool. A target with a fixed schema will flatten some of them, and Professional users have fewer entities to map than Enterprise users.

  2. Rebuild what lives outside the CRM

Sequences, the sales accelerator, Power Automate flows and the Outlook and Teams add-ins are separate pieces. Decide which you need on day one and rebuild them in the new tool before the old licenses end.

Questions and answers

How much does Dynamics 365 Sales cost per user?

Microsoft lists Professional at $65, Enterprise at $105 and Premium at $150 per user per month, paid yearly. Relationship Sales is variable and has a 10-seat minimum. A partner's implementation fee is on top and is not on the pricing page.

What do I lose by leaving Premium?

You lose the AI layer Microsoft lists for Premium: guided selling, relationship intelligence with conversation intelligence, and predictive lead and opportunity scoring. Enterprise includes some of these at limited monthly capacity, so test how much you really use.

Is a cheaper Dynamics edition an alternative to leaving?

Partly. Sales Professional is $65, but its entities are a subset of Enterprise, so check your custom tables against the subset before downgrading. If you need more than the subset, a different vendor may cost less than the move up.

Can I trial an alternative with my Dynamics data?

Most vendors on this page offer a trial or a free tier, for example HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Attio and Capsule. Export a sample of accounts, contacts and opportunities and import it before committing. Microsoft itself offers a 30-day Dynamics trial.

What Microsoft integrations will I have to replace?

The ones Microsoft documents: Outlook, Teams chat and dialer, Power BI on Dataverse and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. List which your reps actually use daily, then check the alternative's connectors for each before you sign.
