Freshsales alternatives: 12 compared

Teams look past Freshsales when sequences and scoring sit two tiers up, when forecasting and custom modules need Enterprise, or when AI is billed per session on top of seats. Most move to HubSpot or Zoho CRM for breadth, to Close for calling, or to Capsule and Less Annoying CRM for simplicity.

Short answer: The closest replacements for Freshsales in our CRM software ranking are HubSpot, Zoho CRM and Close. Choose HubSpot if you want marketing, service and sales on one platform and a free tier to start. All 12 alternatives below are ranked products from Best CRM Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from Freshsales and when Freshsales is still the better choice.

Visibility in our rankings can be paid for. Payment moves a vendor's position within the shortlist; it never adds a vendor, and it never changes a word of the review or of this page. How it works: placement disclosure · editorial process.

Why buyers look past Freshsales

  1. Sales basics step up to Pro

Growth lists Kanban, lifecycle stages, templates and basic workflows. Contact scoring, deal insights, territory management and sales sequences begin on Pro, which costs more than four times as much per user on annual billing. Teams that outgrow Growth feel that jump.

  2. Forecasting and structure need Enterprise

Forecasting insights, custom modules, field-level permissions, a sandbox and audit logs are listed only on the Enterprise tier. A company that wants to model its own objects or restrict fields therefore pays for the top plan, whatever its headcount.

  3. AI and documents are add-ons

The pricing page lists Freddy AI Agent at $49 per 100 sessions and Branded documents at $19 per user a month as add-ons on all three tiers. Both sit on top of the seat price, so cost depends on how much you use them.

When Freshsales is still the right choice

Stay if your team sells on calls and email and sits on Pro or Enterprise already. Freshsales lists contact scoring, sequences and territories on Pro, a 21-day trial, and an API that reads contacts, accounts and deals. If the tier you pay for covers your process, switching mainly adds migration work.

What to expect when you switch from Freshsales

  1. Pull the records through the API

Freshsales documents an API with key authentication that lists contacts, accounts and deals through saved views, with bulk upsert and delete. We could not load its help-centre export article, so confirm the in-app export on a test account first.

  2. Rebuild what does not transfer

Sequences, scoring rules, territories and custom modules are Freshsales configuration, not data. List each one, decide whether the new tool has an equivalent on the tier you will pay for, and rebuild it before you switch off Freshsales.

  3. Mind the renewal date

The terms say payment obligations are non-cancelable and non-refundable, and the card on file is billed on renewal. Time the move to the end of the subscription term, and run both CRMs on one pipeline first.

Questions and answers

How do I export my data from Freshsales?

Use the API or the in-app export. The API documents list endpoints for contacts, accounts and deals through saved views, authenticated with an API key. We could not load the help-centre export article, so test the in-app export before cancelling.

Can I get a refund if I leave mid-term?

Not under the standard terms. They state that payment obligations are non-cancelable and non-refundable except as expressly provided, so end the subscription at the term end. Check your order form if you signed a quote.

Can Freshworks change my price during the term?

Not under the standard terms, which say changes take effect at your next renewal unless otherwise specified. Freshworks says it will give reasonable notice by account notification or email, so watch the renewal date.

Which Freshsales alternatives have a free plan?

Zoho CRM is free for three users, HubSpot for two, Attio for up to three seats, and Capsule for two users and 250 contacts. The Freshsales page lists three paid tiers and a 21-day trial, with no free plan.

Is the Freddy AI Agent included in the price?

No. The pricing page lists Freddy AI Agent as an add-on at $49 per 100 sessions on every tier. Close includes AI credits per user that refresh monthly without rollover, and Attio meters AI through seat and workspace credits.

Which alternative has a single flat price?

Less Annoying CRM, at one published price per user that includes every feature, with no tiers and a 30-day trial. Nutshell and Capsule use tiers but include email tools or contact limits instead of gating the basics.

Who runs Freshsales and where?

Freshsales is a Freshworks product. The terms name Freshworks Inc., a Delaware corporation, and its privacy policy gives 2950 S. Delaware Street, Suite 201, San Mateo, California as its postal address.
