The 12 tools, reviewed
#1 Wellable
Challenge, rewards and recognition platform for employee wellness · United States · wellable.co
Challenges Rewards Customer success included
Wellable covers the whole self-run program in one product: more than 40 customizable challenges, 2,500 on-demand classes, a rewards wallet with gift cards from 800 brands in 55 countries, and peer recognition in an in-app feed. Every tier comes with a named customer success manager, which matters because most failed programs die from lack of attention, not lack of features.
- Pricing: Quote only. Three tiers (Essentials, Pro, Enterprise) quoted on request; coaching, screenings, spending accounts and single sign-on cost extra. Free plan: none.
- Best for: Mid-sized employers with a lean HR team
- Strengths: Wellness challenges; On-demand classes; Gift card rewards.
Where it falls short
Pricing is not published, and several things an employer will want, namely health coaching, biometric screenings, spouse access, single sign-on and the spending account, are listed as additional cost or higher-tier items.
Wrong for
A company that wants clinical mental health care or a gym network rather than challenges and points should look at Spring Health or Wellhub.

#2 Champion Health
Preventive health platform with workforce risk benchmarks · United Kingdom · championhealth.co.uk
Published pricing Risk benchmarking MSK triage
Champion Health works the other way round from a step challenge. It starts with a 30 or 90 day benchmark of workforce health, then points employees to guided mental health and musculoskeletal pathways and escalates only high-risk cases.
- Pricing: Flat yearly tier. Published annual tiers: £8,000 (under 200 employees), £12,000 (200 to 1,000), £30,000 (1,000+), plus priced add-ons and customer success packages. Free plan: none.
- Best for: UK and European employers wanting prevention data
- Strengths: Self-assessments; Mental health pathways; MSK triage.
Where it falls short
Add-ons raise the bill noticeably: analytics, comms, manager enablement and benefits alignment are each priced separately, and the onboarding package is a further £2,500. The entry tier excludes musculoskeletal features and modules.
Wrong for
A US employer that wants a rewards-driven participation program, or a company that needs a large gym network, should compare Wellable or Wellhub.

#3 WellSteps
Managed wellness program with challenges, habits and incentives · United States · wellsteps.com
Published PEPM Guided program Reseller option
WellSteps sells a program with a person attached. A named guide plans campaigns, runs communications and handles setup, and the employer provides a directory and incentive choices.
- Pricing: Per employee / month. Guided plan from $1.75 per employee per month and custom plan $0.99 to $3.65 (basis: 500 employees). Free plan: none.
- Best for: Employers wanting a vendor-guided program
- Strengths: Behavior change campaigns; Habit builders; Peer and individual challenges.
Where it falls short
The company's own site says an enhanced experience is arriving for 2027, so the interface employees see now will change.
Wrong for
A multinational with employees in many currencies, or a firm wanting mental health therapy, should look at Wellable or Modern Health.

#4 Wellhub
Subscription network of gyms, studios and wellbeing apps · United States · wellhub.com
Gym network Shared cost Fast launch
Wellhub does not ask employees to join a program; it gives them a choice of gyms, studios and apps, from ten membership plans. The company pays a corporate fee based on team size, and the package decides which plan is free to the employee, which makes the cost easier to forecast than a pure per-visit scheme.
- Pricing: Per employee / month. Corporate packages (Entry, Full, Premium) from $1, $10 and $50 per employee per month on enterprise pricing; employees pay for membership plans. Free plan: none.
- Best for: Companies wanting a gym-and-app benefit
- Strengths: Gym and studio access; Wellbeing apps; 1:1 sessions.
Where it falls short
Employees contribute their own money to anything above the free plan, which can reduce uptake among lower-paid staff.
Wrong for
An employer that wants a structured challenge or education program, or staff in towns with few gyms, should consider Wellable or WellSteps.

#5 Vantage Circle
Employee engagement suite with a wellness module, Vantage Fit · United States · vantagecircle.com
Suite Recognition-led Global offices
Vantage Circle began as a recognition platform and now sells four connected products: rewards, perks, pulse surveys and Vantage Fit for health and wellness. Its own pages describe starting with recognition and growing into wellness and culture, and it states it serves more than 700 companies, with offices in the United States, India, Australia, Canada and the Netherlands.
- Pricing: Tiered plans. Plans and pricing page exists; figures depend on modules and headcount, we did not verify amounts. Free plan: none.
- Best for: Mid-market firms buying recognition and wellness
- Strengths: Vantage Fit wellness; Recognition and rewards; Pulse surveys.
Where it falls short
Wellness is the youngest and least prominent product in the suite. The public pages say little about challenge types, coaching or screenings, and the plans page does not give us numbers we could confirm.
Wrong for
A company that only needs a wellness program, without recognition or surveys, should choose Wellable or WellSteps.

Customers of Limeade are being redirected to WebMD support, so roadmap and pricing may shift. Nothing is published about cost, minimum size or contract length.

#10 Modern Health
Global mental health benefit with coaching and therapy · United States · modernhealth.com
Global network Flexible pricing Coaching
Modern Health sells an adaptive care model that spans subclinical support such as coaching and clinical care, and states a provider network across more than 200 countries and territories in over 80 languages. It offers a choice between per employee per month pricing and usage-based pricing, a rare concession in a category that normally quotes only one structure.
- Pricing: Per employee / month. Per employee per month or usage-based pricing, amounts on request. Free plan: none.
- Best for: Globally distributed employers
- Strengths: Adaptive care model; Coaching; Therapy.
Where it falls short
Prices are not published, and the stated return of $2.39 per dollar comes from a third-party analysis the company cites for its own members. There are no physical wellness, rewards or challenge modules.
Wrong for
A company wanting an all-in-one wellness program, or a fixed-price bundle, should look at Wellable or WellSteps.

#11 Lyra Health
Mental health care network for employers, replacing assistance programs · United States · lyrahealth.com
Clinical Provider network EAP replacement
Lyra Health sells a network of more than 30,000 providers with therapy, coaching, psychiatry and in-house specialty centers for children, teens and neurodiversity. Its pages position it as a replacement for an existing assistance program rather than an add-on, and report that most members stay with their first provider.
- Pricing: Quote only. Quote only through a request for quote. Free plan: none.
- Best for: Large employers replacing an assistance program
- Strengths: Therapy; Coaching; Psychiatry.
Where it falls short
No prices are published, a request for quote is required and results shown are the company's own. It does not provide wellness challenges, physical health content or rewards, so it cannot be your only wellbeing vendor.
Wrong for
A smaller company wanting a simple, low-cost wellbeing platform should start with Wellable or Champion Health.

Questions and answers
What is the best corporate wellness software in 2026?
Wellable ranks first of 12, best for mid-sized employers with a lean HR team. Champion Health is second (uK and European employers wanting prevention data) and WellSteps third (employers wanting a vendor-guided program). Places 1 to 3 go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands, wherever the category has them.
How much does corporate wellness software cost per employee?
The published figures range widely. WellSteps lists a guided quarterly plan from $1.75 per employee per month for a company of 500 and a custom plan between $0.99 and $3.65.
Do employees have to pay for Wellhub?
Wellhub describes itself as a shared investment.
Does corporate wellness software replace an employee assistance program?
Not by default. Platforms such as Wellable and WellSteps run challenges, content and incentives and do not provide counselling. Lyra Health says it can replace an existing assistance program, and ComPsych sells assistance and absence services directly.
Can small companies under 100 employees use these tools?
Some can. Champion Health sells a tier for fewer than 200 employees at £8,000 a year, and Calm Health lists a solution for organizations under 300.
Are wellness challenges and rewards effective?
The vendors report their own engagement figures, and we did not accept those as independent evidence. Wellable cites an average engagement rate for customers following its best practices, and WellSteps cites a performance guarantee page.
Can the platform connect to our HRIS and single sign-on?
Most can, but not always in the base tier. Wellable lists single sign-on as available at additional cost on every tier, and WellSteps states integration with common HRIS and payroll systems and expanded API capabilities.
Is mental health support part of wellness software or a separate purchase?
Usually a separate purchase. Wellable and Champion Health include mental wellbeing content and self-assessments, but clinical therapy and coaching are sold by Headspace, Spring Health, Modern Health, Lyra Health and Calm Health.
What happens to employee data if we change vendors?
That depends on the contract, and most vendor pages do not say. Ask whether administrators can export individual-level history or only aggregates, how long data is retained after termination, and who acts as data controller.
How long does it take to launch a wellness program?
Wellhub states that a company can launch in less than 30 days, since the network already exists.
Which vendors work outside the United States?
Champion Health is built in the United Kingdom and offers English, German and Swedish.
