Vendors can pay for more visibility on this website, for example a higher place in a ranking or more room on a page. Commercial relationships can also affect which products we feature and how prominently. Every vendor link is marked the same, whatever the arrangement behind it. The first three alternatives go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the established names follow in their ranked order. Why buyers look past WildApricot

  1. The price follows your contact count

WildApricot lists contact tiers from 250 up to 50,000 but publishes a price only for 100 contacts: $66 a month billed monthly, or $56.10 on a two-year prepay. A growing list is therefore priced by asking, not by reading the page.

  2. The trial is time-limited and deletes the account

WildApricot offers a 60-day free trial without a credit card, and says the account is deleted if it is not upgraded at the end. Teams that want to keep a small club running at no cost have no free tier to fall back on.

  3. Chapters and processor fees need a conversation

Multi-chapter organizations get volume discounts only through a sales call, with no figures published. WildApricot also says payment processor fees may still apply on top of the subscription, so the real monthly cost is the plan plus whatever the processor charges.

When WildApricot is still the right choice

Stay with WildApricot if your organization sits near the 100-contact tier, where the price is published, and you value a 60-day trial without a card. It also fits you when one subscription should cover members, website and events, and when no setup, training, per-transaction or cancellation fees suit you, as the pricing page states.

What to expect when you switch from WildApricot

  1. Export members before the trial or plan ends

WildApricot exports members from the Summary view: click Export all, or filter first, pick XLS, CSV or XML, choose the fields, then click Export. Run the export while the account is active, since a trial account that is not upgraded is deleted.

  2. Check what the export does not carry

The help article covers members and contacts. Ask each alternative how it imports membership levels, payment history and event registrations, and rebuild what a spreadsheet cannot hold. Compare processor fees too, which WildApricot says may apply on top of the plan.
