People look past WeTransfer when the 2 GB free limit is too small, when the Enterprise plan's 50-user minimum leaves a mid-sized team without central admin, or when they want published prices. Most go to TransferNow, Smash or SwissTransfer for a free or low-cost sender, and to MASV or Aspera for heavy media files.
Visibility in our rankings can be paid for. Payment moves a vendor's position within
the shortlist; it never adds a vendor, and it never changes a word of the review or of this page. The first three alternatives
go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the
established names follow in their ranked order. How it works:
placement disclosure · editorial process.
What each alternative does differently
1. TransferNow
Free and paid large-file transfers from a French company · France
Same no-sign-up habit with a larger free send: 5 GB per transfer kept for 7 days. Premium extends a transfer to 250 GB and 365 days, with logo and background branding. Team adds ten users and 500 GB. The free tier keeps no storage, and SSO is limited to Enterprise.
Switch from WeTransfer if you want the same send-without-an-account routine but need a 5 GB free limit and affordable branding.
Pricing: Free plan at 5 GB per transfer; Starter at 3 euros, Premium at 6 euros and Team (10 users) at 18 euros per month on the two-year billing rate, with monthly and annual billing priced higher; Enterprise by quote. (free plan)

2. Smash
Large file sharing with no size limit and a paid fast lane · France

Switch from WeTransfer if you want the same free 2 GB class but a paid tier with no size limit and 30-day availability.
Pricing: Free plan with no sign-up and 2 GB at full priority; Pro for one user, Team for 10 to 50 users and Enterprise by quote, with monthly, annual and two-year billing (figures not in the page text we fetched). (free plan)

Free 50 GB transfers hosted in Switzerland · Switzerland
A free, account-free sender that takes 50 GB per transfer for up to 30 days, hosted in Switzerland in Infomaniak data centers. The page states no advertising and no analysis of file contents. Branding and history are paid extras, and it is built for sending, not for team administration.
Switch from WeTransfer if your main complaint is the 2 GB free limit and you want files kept in Switzerland.
Pricing: Free plan for up to 50 GB per transfer and 30 days with no account; paid offers add 60-day availability, history and branding, priced on a separate Infomaniak page not in the text we fetched. (free plan)

5. Tresorit Send
Free encrypted sending from Tresorit · Switzerland

Switch from WeTransfer if you send occasional sensitive files and want encrypted links rather than a branded page.
Pricing: Free: the page describes sending up to 5 GB with encrypted links, password protection and no registration; business needs go to Tresorit's separate paid products. (free plan)

7. MASV
Pay-per-gigabyte transfer for very large files · Canada

Switch from WeTransfer if you move big media or data files occasionally and would rather pay per gigabyte than per seat.
Pricing: Usage-based: first 15 GB free each month, then $0.25 per GB; annual subscriptions from $58 a month (250 GB) to $410 a month (2 TB); pre-buy credits from $1,229 for 5 TB; Enterprise by quote. (free plan)
