Teams look past Qualtrics when they want a published price, a plain survey tool instead of an experience-management platform, or exports that do not depend on a license tier. Most go to SurveyMonkey or QuestionPro for a like-for-like survey platform, to Sogolytics for a similar enterprise scope, or to Formbricks and LimeSurvey for control over data.

Questions and answers
Which file formats can I export my Qualtrics responses in?
Qualtrics lists CSV, TSV, XLSX, XML, SPSS and a Google Drive export, plus Tableau where the extension is enabled. Not all formats come with every license, and your Brand Administrator can request missing ones from the account executive.
Can I export a Qualtrics survey and import it into another tool?
Only into Qualtrics. The QSF file transfers a survey to another Qualtrics account and does not contain responses, while a Word export gives you a readable copy of the questions that cannot be uploaded back.
How many responses does the free Qualtrics account allow?
The free account is limited to 500 responses per survey, three active surveys and 30 questions per survey. It has eight question types, so larger or multi-survey projects need a paid license or another tool.
Does Qualtrics publish its prices?
No. Its pricing page routes each product to a Request Pricing form, and lists interactions as the pricing metric for customer experience products. Compare that with SurveyMonkey's published team price per user.
Which alternatives let me host in Europe?
Formbricks cloud is hosted in Frankfurt, Checkbox offers hosting in the US, Canada, Australia or the EU, and SurveyMonkey Enterprise lists a US, Canada or EU data center. Check each contract for the exact scope.
Who owns Qualtrics now?
Silver Lake and CPP Investments completed their acquisition of Qualtrics on June 28, 2023, according to Qualtrics' own newsroom. Ask your account executive whether your contract terms changed with the ownership change.
