AnyDesk alternatives: 11 compared

Teams look past AnyDesk when the plan limits on concurrent connections and managed devices start to bind, or when SSO and on-premises hosting turn out to be reserved for a quoted tier. Most go to TeamViewer or Splashtop for a comparable commercial product, to ScreenConnect for a support desk, or to RustDesk to host the server themselves.

Short answer: The closest replacements for AnyDesk in our remote desktop software ranking are TeamViewer, Splashtop and ConnectWise ScreenConnect. Choose TeamViewer if you want the best-known commercial product with a clear individual, team and enterprise ladder. All 11 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Remote Desktop Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from AnyDesk and when AnyDesk is still the better choice.

Visibility in our rankings can be paid for. Payment moves a vendor's position within the shortlist; it never adds a vendor, and it never changes a word of the review or of this page. How it works: placement disclosure · editorial process.

Why buyers look past AnyDesk

  1. Connections are the metered unit

AnyDesk sells plans by concurrent connections. Standard starts at one and scales to 20 with add-ons at €44,90 each per month, Advanced starts at two and scales to 50. A support team that is often busy hits the ceiling before it hits a device limit.

  2. Managed devices are capped per plan

The pricing page lists 100 managed devices on Solo, 500 on Standard, 1000 on Advanced and 2000 on Ultimate, with a managed-device add-on. A fleet that grows past the plan is billed for the next step, and Solo does not scale.

  3. SSO and on-premises need Ultimate

Single sign-on and AnyDesk On-Premises appear only in the Ultimate column, which is quoted. All plans are billed yearly. Buyers who want identity integration or a self-hosted relay without a sales process compare other products.

When AnyDesk is still the right choice

Stay if your usage fits within a plan's connection and device allowances and you value what AnyDesk lists in its mid tiers: a custom-branded client, session recording, file transfer and privacy mode on Standard, and mass deployment and group policy support on Advanced. Check that the next tier up is not required for features you rely on before you compare competitors.

What to expect when you switch from AnyDesk

  1. Export the address book before you leave

Role-based address books and session history live in the my.anydesk console. Record every alias, group and permission profile, and decide which of them the new tool can model. Aliases usually need to be recreated by hand.

  2. Redeploy the client on every managed device

AnyDesk supports mass deployment through MSI and Windows Group Policy on higher tiers. A new tool needs its own agent on each machine, so plan the rollout with your own software distribution tool and keep AnyDesk installed until the switch is verified.

Questions and answers

How is AnyDesk priced?

By plan, with limits on concurrent connections and managed devices. Solo is €29,90 a month and Standard €49,90 for one connection, both billed yearly and before VAT, as shown on its pricing page. Advanced and Ultimate scale further.

Can I add connections without changing plans?

Yes, within limits. Standard allows add-on connections up to 20 at €44,90 each per month, and Advanced up to 50. Solo cannot scale. Past that limit you move to Ultimate, which is quoted.

Does AnyDesk support single sign-on?

Only on Ultimate. The feature table lists SSO in that column alone, together with AnyDesk On-Premises and the remote support module.

Which alternatives can I self-host?

RustDesk, ISL Online and NoMachine can be hosted on your own infrastructure, and ScreenConnect and Splashtop list on-premises options. Check the exact tier, since several reserve it for enterprise plans.

What should I save before I cancel AnyDesk?

We could not confirm from AnyDesk's pages what happens to console data after cancellation. Save recordings locally and export address books before the term ends.

Is there a cheaper option for a handful of computers?

Possibly. RemotePC prices by computer, with a Consumer plan for one computer from $2.46 a month list, and Chrome Remote Desktop has no paid tier. Check that each covers business use.
