Google Forms is free, sends answers into Sheets and stops there, with logic limited to section jumps. Which one to choose
Choose Jotform if
your forms have to collect money, trigger an approval or produce a PDF, or the questionnaire needs conditional logic and scoring that section jumps cannot express.

Jotform offers conditional logic, matrix questions, scoring and a one-card-at-a-time layout, plus thousands of templates, though its editor is crowded with options. Google Forms branches only by jumping between sections, with no piping and no randomization of pages, and every form looks like every other Google form. For anything beyond a linear questionnaire, Jotform has more room.

Use inside your own organization
Inside a Workspace domain, Google Forms can restrict responses to employees, collect verified email addresses and let colleagues edit a form together in real time, which suits polls and quizzes. It is harder to convince staff their answers are anonymous. Jotform adds an offline mobile app and a HIPAA option, which matter for field work and health data more than for office polls.

Is Jotform worth paying for when Google Forms is free?
Only if you use what surrounds the form. Jotform's paid tiers buy higher submission and storage limits on a tool that handles payments, approvals, PDFs and conditional logic. If you need a short questionnaire whose answers go into a spreadsheet, Google Forms already does that at no cost.
Which has better logic, Jotform or Google Forms?
Jotform. It supports conditional logic, scoring and matrix questions. Google Forms can only send respondents to a different section based on an answer, and it has no piping of earlier answers or randomization of pages, so personalized paths are difficult to build.
Can Jotform or Google Forms handle real survey analysis?
Not in depth. Jotform's reporting produces charts but no cross-tabs, weighting or significance testing. Google Forms passes responses to Sheets, where the analysis is whatever you build yourself, and it has no trend reports across waves. Research work belongs in a dedicated survey platform.
