SAP Concur alternatives: 11 compared

Buyers look past SAP Concur when per-report pricing grows with volume, when the useful features sit in a quoted Premium tier, or when they want cards and expenses in one newer product. Most go to Navan for travel with expense, to Zoho Expense or Rydoo for low per-user pricing, or to Ramp and Brex if they also want corporate cards.

Short answer: The closest replacements for SAP Concur in our expense management software ranking are Navan, Expensify and Zoho Expense. Choose Navan if you book travel through Concur and want booking and expenses in one newer product. All 11 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Expense Management Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from SAP Concur and when SAP Concur is still the better choice.

Visibility in our rankings can be paid for. Payment moves a vendor's position within the shortlist; it never adds a vendor, and it never changes a word of the review or of this page. How it works: placement disclosure · editorial process.

Why buyers look past SAP Concur

  1. The unit is the report

Concur Expense lists Base from $7 and Plus from $11 per report, with unlimited users. A company that files many small reports pays for every one of them, and the page says the price varies with monthly commitment.

  2. Premium is quoted

Base and Plus carry the published price. The Premium tier, which the page shows bundled with Concur Travel, Intelligence and reporting, is custom priced. Finance teams that need those parts cannot budget from the page.

  3. A suite with add-on parts

Concur sells Expense, Travel, Invoice, Budget and support offerings as separate products, and Plus names ExpenseIt and User Support Desk as inclusions. Teams that want one simple tool for receipts and approvals sometimes find the suite larger than the job.

7. Spendesk

Pre-approval spend control for European companies · France

Switch from SAP Concur if you want unlimited users and cards under a platform fee, with spend controls.

10. Emburse

Expense, audit and AP for mid-market organizations · United States

A travel and expense vendor with editions for small, mid-market and enterprise customers, sold on quotes. It is the nearest like-for-like peer for a company that wants the same kind of managed platform and sales process. Public detail on its pages is thin.

Switch from SAP Concur if you want another quote-based travel and expense platform to compare against Concur.

Pricing: Quote-based, with different editions for small, mid-market and enterprise customers. (none)

Full review: #11 of 13 in our ranking · Visit Emburse →

11. BILL Spend & Expense

Free budgets and cards from the former Divvy · United States

Part of the BILL payables suite, offered with a risk-free trial. The core product carries no subscription fee, because revenue comes from card interchange, so the economics depend on moving card spend. It suits a company that already pays bills through BILL.

Switch from SAP Concur if you already run payables in BILL and want expenses tied to the same account.

Pricing: No subscription fee for the core product; revenue comes from card interchange, with fees on some payment types. (free plan)

When SAP Concur is still the right choice

Stay if you need travel and expense in one system with deep ERP and HR connections. Concur lists hundreds of integrations and partner apps, and its Premium tier bundles Concur Travel. A company with complex policies and many integrations may find the new tools thinner than the product it already runs.

What to expect when you switch from SAP Concur

  1. Export reports and receipts before the term ends

Receipts, approved reports and the audit trail are the records you must keep. Pull them in full for the period your finance and tax rules require, and agree with your auditor which format counts as the original.

  2. Rebuild policies, not just users

Expense types, approval chains and per-diem or mileage rules are configured inside Concur. Write them down first, then recreate them in the new tool, and run one cycle in both before you switch off the old one.

  3. Check the ERP connection early

Concur connects to ERP, HR and accounting systems. Confirm that your accounting system has a supported connector in the new product, and test a posting to a sandbox before you commit to a date.

Questions and answers

How is SAP Concur Expense priced?

Per report, with unlimited users. Its page lists Base from $7 and Plus from $11 per report in USD, with Premium at custom pricing, and notes that the price can vary with monthly commitment.

What does Concur Premium include that Plus does not?

Concur Travel and Intelligence, according to the plan cards. Plus names Concur Expense, ExpenseIt, User Support Desk and Reporting. Ask for the exact contract scope, because the page ends the Premium list with and more.

Which alternatives are free to start?

Zoho Expense has a free plan for up to three users, Ramp a free plan, Brex a $0 Essentials plan, and Navan Business is free for travel with expenses free for five users. Check each plan's limits.

Which alternative bills only for active users?

Rydoo, on its Business and Enterprise plans. Its pricing page defines an active user as someone who performed at least one action in the platform.

Can I keep my corporate cards if I switch?
