Buyers look past Workday HCM when a quote-only contract and an enterprise-sized platform are more than a mid-sized company needs. Most go to Rippling or HiBob for a broader or friendlier platform, to BambooHR, Factorial or Deel HR for published per-employee prices, and to Employment Hero or Namely for packaged tiers.

Questions and answers
Does Workday publish its prices?
No, not on the HCM or Workday GO pages we checked. Pricing is set through sales based on your headcount and modules. For published numbers, BambooHR lists $10.25 to $25 per employee a month above 25 employees, and Deel HR Core starts at $5.
Is there a smaller Workday package for mid-sized companies?
Yes, Workday GO is aimed at companies with fewer than 3,500 employees and bundles HR, payroll and finance. Its pricing is also not shown on its page. Ask what is excluded compared with the full HCM product.
In which countries does Workday run payroll itself?
Australia, Canada, France, the UK and Ireland and the U.S., plus a Strada-provided service, for more than 60 countries in total. Outside those, Workday points to certified partner integrations covering 180+ countries, including Deel for 130+.
Can I replace Workday recruiting with something simpler?
Yes. Workday's talent acquisition suite combines recruiting, engagement and HiredScore AI, with Paradox for candidate conversations. BambooHR includes an applicant tracking system with 5, 25 or 50 open jobs by plan, and Rippling lists recruiting within HR.
How long does it take to move off Workday?
We found no vendor figure for leaving Workday. For the destination, Namely quotes as little as three weeks for Namely Now and Workday itself cites 8 weeks for a GO customer. Allow longer if payroll covers several countries.
Which alternative fits a company that hires abroad?
Deel HR states 150+ countries and holds employees, contractors and EOR workers in one system. Rippling lists payroll for employees and contractors worldwide. Check each vendor's country list for your actual locations.
