Five9 alternatives: 14 compared

Teams look past Five9 when its public pricing is hard to find, when a seat floor or quote cycle stands between them and a trial, or when they want to run a small team without an enterprise contract. Larger voice operations tend to go to Genesys, NICE or RingCX, and smaller ones to Aircall, CloudTalk or Ringover.

Short answer: The closest replacements for Five9 in our call center software ranking are Genesys Cloud CX, NICE CXone and RingCentral RingCX. Choose Genesys Cloud CX if you want a comparable enterprise platform whose tiers are published and licensable by named or concurrent user. All 14 alternatives below are ranked products from Best Call Center Software in 2026, and each says where it differs from Five9 and when Five9 is still the better choice.

Visibility in our rankings can be paid for. Payment moves a vendor's position within the shortlist; it never adds a vendor, and it never changes a word of the review or of this page. The first three alternatives go to challengers, vendors outside the best-known brands in a category, wherever the category has them; the established names follow in their ranked order. How it works: placement disclosure · editorial process.

Five9 at a glance

  • Headquarters: United States
  • Pricing model: Per concurrent seat / month + custom tiers
  • Pricing: Digital $119 and Core $159 per concurrent seat/month, published, 50-seat minimum, usage charges for AI minutes and SMS; Plus, Pro and Enterprise custom-quoted
  • Free option: None
  • Built for: Voice-first enterprise contact centers wanting predictive/power dialers
  • Wrong for: A team below 50 agents; even Five9's published Digital and Core bundles assume a 50-seat minimum, so a small contact center pays for seats it does not use.
  • Place in our ranking: #14 of 15

Why buyers look past Five9

  1. Pricing is no longer on a public page

We tried several five9.com paths on 23 October 2026: /pricing returns a 404 error and /products/pricing-options sends the visitor back to the home page. Our category table still shows earlier published tiers, so confirm today's price and seat minimum in writing.

  2. The product is aimed at enterprise operations

Five9's small-business page promises to pay as you go and deploy in days, but its main pages talk about 4,000-plus customers, a platform core and enterprise buyers. A team of ten agents may find the scope, and the sales process, larger than it needs.

  3. Capability is split across platform layers

The site divides the product into Engage, Orchestrate and Optimize, plus Genius AI, CX Intelligence, Core and Fusion. Quality and workforce management sit under Optimize. A buyer comparing line items has to map those names onto bundles before a quote is comparable.

What each alternative does differently

1. Genesys Cloud CX

Largest scale in this category, published tiered pricing · United States

A like-for-like enterprise platform. Its pricing page lists four tiers from $75 to $240 per user a month billed annually, with a choice of named, concurrent or hourly licenses. Workforce management arrives at CX 3 and the heavier AI tier at CX 4, so cost climbs with scope.

Switch from Five9 if you want a comparable enterprise platform whose tiers are published and licensable by named or concurrent user.

Pricing: CX 1 (voice) $75, CX 2 (adds digital) $115, CX 3 (adds workforce management) $155 and CX 4 (AI) $240 per user/month billed annually, published; $2,000/month minimum commitment (none)

Routing, quality and workforce management in one suite · Israel / United States

Presents itself as an AI-first customer experience platform and says it carries more than 25 billion interactions a year. Its site mentions sovereign-ready infrastructure. We could not read a price on its pages this week, so budget through a quote, and expect an enterprise-scale rollout.

3. RingCentral RingCX

Bundled with RingCentral UCaaS, published entry price · United States

Sold by a unified communications company, so telephony, messaging and the contact center come from one party. The vendor's guide claims 99.999% uptime, SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and GDPR. We could not reach a RingCX price page, so cost comes by quote.

Switch from Five9 if your office telephony could move to the same vendor as the contact center.

Pricing: Standard $65/user/month (annual) or $75/month, published; Professional, Elite and Enterprise all custom-quoted (none)

4. Odigo

European sovereign cloud CCaaS, four decades of heritage · France

Publishes a split by size. Essential covers 5 to 500 users with simultaneous monthly peak billing and a six-week deployment claim, while Enterprise covers 500 and up and bills per appointed agent. It presents itself as a European CCaaS with data sovereignty, and quotes prices on request.

Switch from Five9 if you want billing that follows peak simultaneous use and a European provider with a defined small-team tier.

Pricing: Essential (5-500 users), Enterprise (500-5,000+ users) and CXaaS (1,000-50,000+ users) tiers, all quoted on request (none)

5. Puzzel

Nordic CCaaS pioneer since 1998, AI Co-Pilot for live agents · Norway

Sold as a contact centre suite with separate modules for virtual agents, quality management, knowledge, case management and workforce management. Its site features a report on EU data sovereignty for contact centres. Pricing is not shown, so the module list drives the quote.

Switch from Five9 if you want to add AI, quality and workforce modules one at a time and care about EU data sovereignty.

Pricing: Enterprise CCaaS pricing quoted on request (none)

6. Diabolocom

Enterprise predictive dialing, published from ~$60/license · France

Leans on outbound. Its site lists a dynamic dialer and lead management beside telecom offerings, and says it hosts on a sovereign cloud with in-house AI research. It has no public price list in the pages we read, so test dialer behavior in a trial before committing.

Switch from Five9 if outbound dialing matters most and you want the telecom services supplied by the same vendor.

Pricing: Voice from ~$60/named license; Omnichannel from ~$99/named license; Ultimate custom; based on a 3-year term with a 150-license minimum; voice minutes, transcription and storage billed on usage (none)

A long-running vendor, with 25-plus years, 1,250-plus customers and 47-plus countries on its home page. It now sells AI agents for sales, support and collections across 18-plus channels, and claims go-live in three days. That claim is the vendor's own and worth testing.

Switch from Five9 if you work in collections or sales outreach and want AI agents alongside the human desk.

Built for teams of three or more, with $30 and $50 per license plans and an Enterprise tier from 25 licenses. Offers a power dialer that dials up to 1,000 imported numbers in sequence, plus 250-plus integrations. It does not advertise the predictive pacing Five9 sells.

Switch from Five9 if you run a smaller sales or support team and want published prices and quick CRM integrations.

Pricing: Essentials $30/license/month and Professional $50/license/month, billed annually (25% below monthly billing), both with a 3-license minimum; Enterprise custom (25-license minimum); published for the two entry tiers (free trial)

9. CloudTalk

No-code call-flow builder with published per-seat pricing from €19/month · Slovakia

Publishes prices from €19 per user a month billed annually with a one-license minimum. A preview and power dialer is on the plan grid, and a parallel dialer of up to 10 lines is an add-on. It is a calling tool first, so heavy workforce planning is not its job.

Switch from Five9 if you want a small team on per-user pricing with one-seat entry and an add-on dialer.

Pricing: Lite €19/user/month (annual, €27 monthly); Starter €25/€34; Essential €29/€39; Expert €49/€69/user/month (3-seat minimum), published (free trial)

Sold online for small teams, from $19 per user a month on a 12-month commitment with three users minimum. The $49 plan adds a power dialer and advanced analytics. A higher plan with workforce management and multi-site support starts at 50 users and goes through a demo.

Switch from Five9 if you want to buy online with a three-user minimum and move to a custom plan only when you grow.

Pricing: Talk plan published entry pricing, buyable online; Business plan for teams of 3+ on a 12-month term; Advanced plan custom-quoted after a demo (none)

Full review: #6 of 15 in our ranking · Visit Ringover →

11. 3CX

Per-simultaneous-call licensing with a self-hosted option · Cyprus

Licensed per simultaneous call each year, not per seat: its pricing table starts at 8 calls for $300 on Basic. You choose hosting by 3CX or your own server. It is a phone system with a contact center option, not a full workforce suite, so check queue depth.

Switch from Five9 if you prefer annual licensing per simultaneous call and the option of running the system yourself.

Pricing: Basic, PRO and AI editions licensed annually per simultaneous-call tier (8 to 1,024 SC); hosting billed separately; free editions for up to 10 users (self-hosted 4SC Free Basic, shared SMB instance) (free plan)

Starts at €10 per user a month, or €8 on a yearly plan with a 12-month commitment. A predictive dialer is a separate add-on from €50 per user a month on the yearly plan. Monthly plans carry no commitment, but there is no deep workforce tooling shown.

Switch from Five9 if your agent count is small and you want a predictive dialer priced as an add-on.

Pricing: Basic Pack €10/user/month (€8 with a 12-month term); Plus Pack €50/user/month (€42 with a 12-month term, €30/€24 for French SMEs); Custom Pack quoted; predictive dialer add-on from €50/user/month; published for the first two tiers (free trial)

When Five9 is still the right choice

Five9 is still the right choice when you run a voice-first operation with predictive or power dialing at scale and your CRM is on its integration list. Its site claims 300-plus integrations, a 99.999% uptime SLA and professional services for deployment. If you are already live on it and agent counts are stable, a move costs retraining and weeks of parallel running.

What to expect when you switch from Five9

  1. Inventory what is wired to the platform

List the CRM connectors, screen pops, API calls and desktop toolkits attached to Five9, since its site says integrations run through certified connectors, REST APIs and SDKs. Each one must be rebuilt or replaced on the new platform, so count them before you pick a vendor.

  2. Plan dialer and routing logic separately

Dialing ratios, skills routing and IVR flows rarely transfer as files. Document the current logic and test it on the new vendor with a pilot team. Predictive dialing in particular behaves differently by vendor, and some alternatives here offer only a power dialer.

  3. Run both systems side by side for a short period

Keep Five9 running for a defined window, move one queue at a time and port numbers last. Ask the new vendor what implementation support it includes and what it charges, because the cost of professional services is often outside the seat price.

Questions and answers

Does Five9 publish its prices?

Not on the pages we could reach on 23 October 2026. The /pricing path returned an error and /products/pricing-options redirected to the home page. Ask Five9 for a written quote that names the seat type (concurrent or named), minimum seat count and usage charges.

Is there a minimum number of seats at Five9?

We could not verify a minimum on a current Five9 page. Our category entry records a 50-seat minimum from an earlier pricing page. Ask for the figure in writing before you assume a small team can buy.

Can I export my call recordings and reports when I leave Five9?

The Five9 pages we read do not describe export formats or retention after cancellation. Ask in writing what formats recordings, transcripts and reports leave in, how long they stay available and who pays for the bulk export.

Which alternatives suit a team that does outbound calling?

Diabolocom lists a dynamic dialer on its site, Kavkom sells a predictive dialer as an add-on, and Ringover and CloudTalk offer power dialers. Aircall lists a power dialer too. Test pacing and answering machine detection on your own list in a trial.

Is there an alternative with a self-hosted option?

3CX is the one in our list that you can host yourself, and it sells hosting by 3CX for those who prefer not to. Its licensing is per simultaneous call each year. The others in this list are cloud services.

How long does a migration off Five9 take?

The vendor pages do not give a standard figure. Odigo claims six weeks for its Essential tier and Vocalcom claims three days to go live, both vendor claims. Plan on a pilot queue, then phased cutover, with Five9 still running.
