ServiceTitan vs Jobber

ServiceTitan runs the whole business of a large residential trade contractor, from call booking and marketing attribution to dispatch, memberships and payroll, on a per-technician quote. Jobber is a quote-to-invoice system for small crews, with published monthly tiers and a client hub. Contractors with 20 or more technicians choose ServiceTitan; owners of small residential crews choose Jobber.

Where they differ

Scale of operation

ServiceTitan covers call booking, capacity-based dispatch, inventory and purchasing, payroll and commissions in one database, which pays off at forty trucks. Jobber dispatch is calendar-based, and its job costing is basic. Once a business needs emergency dispatch across many technicians, Jobber is outgrown.

Edge: ServiceTitan

Cost and commitment

Jobber publishes four tiers, Core, Connect, Grow and Plus, with extra users at $29 a month each on every tier, and a no-commitment monthly option. ServiceTitan publishes no prices, sells per technician on Starter, Essentials and The Works, and in our category entry typically asks for a multi-year agreement and a paid implementation. We could not confirm contract terms on its pricing page this session.

Edge: Jobber

Quote-to-cash for residential work

Jobber lets a customer approve a quote, pick optional add-ons, book a visit and pay from one client hub, and it follows up on quotes automatically. ServiceTitan covers estimates, with mobile estimates starting on Essentials, but the price book and call center orientation target a different buyer. For repeat residential quoting, Jobber is the lighter, faster loop.

Edge: Jobber

Marketing attribution and reporting

ServiceTitan ties each job to the ad that produced it, and add-on Pro products such as Marketing Pro and Contact Center Pro extend this. Jobber has no equivalent depth of attribution. For a company buying leads at volume, ServiceTitan's reporting is the stronger case.

Edge: ServiceTitan

Time to value

Jobber starts with a 14-day trial on the Grow plan without a credit card. ServiceTitan lists no trial on its pricing page, which only offers Request Pricing buttons, and implementation takes months by our assessment. A small owner sees results sooner with Jobber.

Edge: Jobber

Tally: ServiceTitan 2, Jobber 3, even 0.

When neither fits

Neither suits a mid-sized HVAC or plumbing shop under about fifteen technicians that lives on same-day emergency calls and truck stock. Housecall Pro and FieldEdge deliver most of ServiceTitan's value with far less commitment and more dispatch than Jobber.
